You cannot order a repeat prescription over the telephone.
Patients are able to order repeat prescriptions:
- Through Written Request: Send your repeat prescription form or written request by post or fax. You can also deliver it yourself when you are near the surgery.
- Online Services: It is also possible to request repeat prescriptions online. Please ask at the surgery for details on how to register for online booking. If you have already registered for this service please click on the link at the top of this page.
- Through the pharmacy: The pharmacy holds onto the right hand side of the prescription and requests your repeat medication on your behalf. Remember to tell the pharmacy, every cycle, what you do and don’t need them to order by handing in the ticked list found on the right hand side of your previous repeat prescription to the pharmacy or at the practice.
- Repeat dispensing through the pharmacy: If you or someone you care for uses the same medicines regularly, you may be able to benefit from using the NHS Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD) service. This means you won’t have to re-order or collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP practice every time you need more medicine.
